Purpose of This Workshop

This workshop is designed to provide educational information and peer-based discussion about Internal Family Systems (IFS) concepts. The intention is to introduce foundational ideas, language, and reflections related to IFS in a learning-oriented environment.

This workshop is not therapy, not a substitute for therapy, and not clinical treatment of any kind.

Nature of the Relationship

By registering for and participating in this workshop, I acknowledge and agree that:

·       The workshop facilitator is not acting as my therapist, counselor, supervisor, or healthcare provider.

·       Participation does not create a therapist–client relationship.

·       No diagnosis, treatment, clinical assessment, or therapeutic intervention will be provided.

·       Any examples, reflections, or experiential exercises are offered for educational and self-reflective purposes only.

Training & Professional Disclosure

I understand and acknowledge that:

·       The facilitator has completed training through the IFSCA (Internal Family Systems Counseling Association) Stepping Stones Course.

·       The facilitator is not formally trained or certified by the Internal Family Systems Institute (IFSI).

·       The facilitator is offering this workshop from a peer-to-peer and collegial perspective, sharing knowledge, personal learning, and professional experience, not as an IFS expert or representative of IFSI.

Scope and Limitations

I acknowledge that:

·       This workshop may include discussion of emotional experiences, parts language, or self-reflection that could feel activating.

·       I am responsible for monitoring my own emotional, psychological, and physical well-being during and after the workshop.

·       I may choose to step away, opt out of any exercise, or discontinue participation at any time.

·       The facilitator is not responsible for providing emotional support, crisis intervention, or follow-up care.

If I experience distress, I agree to seek support from my own therapist, healthcare provider, or appropriate professional resources.

Confidentiality & Group Setting

I understand that:

·       While the facilitator will make reasonable efforts to encourage respectful and confidential discussion, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed in a group workshop setting.

·       I am responsible for maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of other participants by not sharing identifying information discussed during the workshop.

Professional Boundaries & Ethical Protection

I agree that:

·       This workshop is not clinical supervision, consultation, or continuing education unless explicitly stated otherwise.

·       Nothing in this workshop should be construed as professional advice specific to my clinical practice, personal mental health, or business decisions.

·       The facilitator is not liable for actions I take based on the information shared during the workshop.

Unless explicitly stated in writing:

·       Recording, reproducing, or distributing workshop content is not permitted.
