Meet Alex, LCSW

Hi, I’m Alex! (she/her)

Massachusetts Therapist

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and certified somatic yoga therapist who believes in the power of continuous growth and healing. My clients often come to me when they’re feeling stuck—in cycles of anxiety, depression, or relationship struggles—and are looking for more peace in their minds, bodies, and connections. Whether in individual or couples therapy, we explore what’s no longer working and build a path forward with new tools, self-understanding, and compassion.

As a relational and trauma-informed therapist, I personalize the process to meet your goals, often integrating psychodynamic therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and somatic practices. I also bring in my background in yoga therapy to help clients reconnect with their bodies and regulate their nervous systems—even (and especially) if they’ve had a rocky relationship with movement or mindfulness in the past. My goal is to make therapy feel supportive, creative, and even joyful.

I specialize in working with couples informed by Gottman Method and the Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT), supporting deeper connection and nervous system attunement. I also have expertise in ERP for OCD and enjoy working with clients exploring identity, sexuality, and alternative relationship structures. My clinical lens is shaped by a foundation in social justice and a commitment to anti-racist practice, always holding space for the ways systemic oppression impacts mental health.

Alex’s specialties include:

  • Individual Therapy: Adults from quarter-life to mid-life navigating anxiety, depression, and trauma through a somatic, body-centered lens to support nervous system regulation and re-wiring.

  • Couples Therapy: Enhancing relationships through improved communication, sustained emotional intimacy, and nervous system attunement.

  • Polyamory & Non-Monogamy Skills: Support for those navigating the complex world of non-traditional relationships (or curious about exploring).

  • Trauma-Informed Care: Integrating psychodynamic, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and cognitive approaches through an embodied, nervous system responsive lens.

  • Support with Obsessive Thoughts & OCD: Blending Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP) with somatic trauma work to help interrupt obsessive rumination and OCD cycles.

  • Healing Body Image and Relationship to Food: Healing relationships with body, movement, and food, especially for those in long-term recovery from eating disorders and dysmorphic thinking.

Alex’s fee is $165/session for individuals, and $200/session for relationships/couples therapy.
