Meet Venetia, LICSW
Hello! I’m Venetia (she/her).
Massachusetts Therapist: Telehealth
I’m a licensed psychotherapist who takes a relational, integrative approach to therapy, supporting young adults and adults navigating OCD, eating disorders, anxiety, ADHD, and the many complexities that can come with transitions in life. I particularly enjoy working with clients as they explore identity, relationships, self-worth, and the parts of themselves that have developed in response to their experiences.
My approach is deeply informed by IFS and ACT, alongside years of training and experience across a range of therapeutic approaches and levels of care. My clinical background includes working in inpatient psychiatric settings at McLean Hospital, as well as extensive training through McLean, BIPSI, and Mass General Brigham. While I’ve trained in and practiced more structured approaches, including DBT and ERP, I’ve intentionally developed a practice centered around the therapeutic relationship. I believe this relationship, along with curiosity and compassion, can create space to understand what’s underneath our symptoms and why certain patterns may have developed in the first place.
I believe my clients are the experts on their own experiences, and I feel privileged to be invited into their lives. My goal is to create a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where we can make sense of what you’re experiencing together and help you build a relationship with yourself that feels more compassionate, connected, and authentic.
I value working across the spectrums of gender, race, sexuality, and class, and I strive to create an affirming space for clients from all backgrounds. My clinical experiences have also been shaped by living and working in several different countries, including Rwanda, Kenya, and the UK, as well as my experience as a Third Culture Kid.
Outside of therapy, I’m a dog lover, beach enthusiast, and year-round yogi.
